Samabeong Tea Bungalow

Samabeong is the most recent addition to West Bengal's tea attractions in Darjeeling. The tea garden has its own unique feel, nestled in the heart of the Neora Valley Forest.

The Samabeong Tea Garden is located at an elevation of 6500 feet and is surrounded by lush green tea plantations that cover the gentle slopes of the area. The British were the first to establish a tea estate in 1882. The ownership pattern changed after India's independence, and the estate suffered a series of losses, mismanagement, and instability before being abandoned.

Samabeong Tea Estate was purchased by a new company in 1990, bringing a ray of hope to the tea workers and their families. Samabeong Tea Estate is now well-known for its use of biodynamic farming in tea cultivation. Samabeong tea is famous in India and abroad for its unusual, distinct taste, which is attributed to their unique cultivation technique.

A visit to the tea garden will relax your mind and body. Immerse yourself in the lush green tea plantations, fill your lungs with clean air, and marvel at nature's exquisite beauty. Samabeong is also home to a variety of Himalayan birds, both native and migratory.

The Ideal Plan

The distance from Siliguri is 96.1 kilometres. Staying at Samabeong Tea Estate is an alternative option. Wake up to the sweet song of feathered birds, then take a long walk through the tea garden to soak up some sun and fresh air. The tea garden is surrounded by the dense forest of Neora Valley National Park, which is home to the world-famous Himalayan red panda and Royal Bengal tigers, as well as a large population of leopards, deer, and elephants. You can go mountain biking inside the tea estate or go on a quiet nature walk to spot some wild birds. Enjoy a picnic by the river, take a hike up to the Neora Valley Forest, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a shy Himalayan Red Panda or Bengal Tiger. While you're inside, sit by the fireplace and play chess or watch a movie on a projector. The glass library within the resort allows you to disconnect from the outside world by providing a secluded corner to read books without interruption.
